We completely understand your concern about your probiotics. Our probiotics are not shipped with ice packs, but they are stored in the refrigerator at our facility. In my experience, the strains in a probiotic supplement are destroyed more due to humidity vs. temperature. A probiotic supplement that has 50 billion active cells actually has double this amount to account for temperature fluctuations. They are manufactured to be able to survive outside of refrigeration for <30 days. Upon receiving the probiotic from our manufacturer, they are immediately stored in a humidity-controlled refrigerator at our storage facility. I know most online retailers will ship the probiotics with an ice pack, however, in summers this is actually worse for the probiotic. At 30 degrees Celsius, the ice pack usually melts, thereby increasing the humidity in the package - causing further damage to the probiotic strains. Most manufacturers that ship probiotics do not do so with ice packs, for the sole reason of increased humidity, and that’s why we don’t ship with ice packs either.
