Acacia fibre is a gentle, plant-based soluble fibre made from the sap of the acacia tree. It's a popular daily fibre for supporting digestion and regularity without the harsh effects some fibres cause, and it acts as a prebiotic — feeding the beneficial bacteria in your gut. You'll find it here mostly as an easy-mixing powder, plus fibre gummies and blends. Shipped across Canada from our Ontario warehouse.

    What acacia fibre does

Acacia is a soluble, prebiotic fibre — meaning it feeds the beneficial bacteria in your gut while supporting regular, comfortable digestion. Because it's gentle and doesn't bulk up the way some fibres do, it's often chosen for daily use and is well suited to sensitive or low-FODMAP diets. It's also a simple way to top up your daily fibre.

    Acacia vs psyllium

Both are popular fibres, but they work differently. Acacia is a gentle prebiotic that tends to cause less gas and bulking, while psyllium is more of a bulk-forming fibre. Many people find acacia easier to tolerate for everyday use, especially with a sensitive stomach.

How to choose and take it

    • Powder — the most common format; mixes easily into water, juice or smoothies with a mild taste.
    • Gummies & blends — fibre gummies and multi-fibre blends (with chia, flax or psyllium) are also available.
    • Pure vs blend — check whether you want 100% acacia or a blend, and note the grams of fibre per serving.
    • Start low — begin with a small amount, increase gradually, and drink plenty of water.

    Safety information

Acacia fibre is generally well tolerated, but some people notice mild bloating or gas when first starting — easing in with a lower dose helps. If you're pregnant, breastfeeding or managing a medical condition, check with a healthcare professional before use.
