We are extremely sensitive about your privacy concerns and the personal information you provide us. We are not in the business of renting or selling this information to anyone. As a general matter, we look at session data from session tracking tools such as hotjar, and use and store this information simply to personalize and improve your user experience.
We have deployed significant technological resources, including the use of firewalls, systems and procedures, to protect the security of your personal information. We also use Secure Sockets Layer (SSL), a technology that encrypts and scrambles sensitive information during online transactions like your credit card information. We are also compliant with the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standards as well as the stringent PCI-DSS standards which are now mandatory for all online merchants. We also pass external vulnerability scans of all our active IP addresses and have a third party who monitors our systems 24 hours a day.
Do you save my credit card information?
- No, Vitamart.ca does not save your credit card information however, your internet browser might. If you have shopped online before using your browser, your credit card information may be saved to the browser, and will begin to populate when you type in your information on Vitamart.ca
Why do I need to give you my CVV2?
- For your security, we require you to provide the CVV2 to prevent fraudulent use of your account. The customer Verification Number is a non-embossed number located on your credit card that cannot be obtained easily by using an imprint of your card. For your safety, this number is required to verify your charges with us.
Is Vitamart.ca “Legit”?
- Yes! We assure you we are the real deal! Vitamart.ca started in 2005 and was founded by Mark Holowaychuk. We have evolved from our original name Buff Muscle Stuff, to the Vitamart.ca that we are today!
Will I get a lot of Spam mail?
- No. The only emails you receive are when you register for an account or place an order. Outside of that we do encourage you go join our email list, which does include weekly emails, where we offer sales, articles and other helpful content. You can also unsubscribe to these emails at any time!
