Is this owned and operated by the same people? 

  • Yes! The changes to the website have been a long time coming. Mark Holowaychuk is still Owner/CEO, and our fantastic team is still the same.

Where are you located?

  • We are an online store with 2 warehouses , one located in Edmonton Alberta, and one located in Oakville Ontario.

Can I fill my prescription with you online?

  • No, we do not sell any prescription medications, we sell health products all of which are approved by Health Canada and have an NPN number.

Why shop for my health products online with Vitamart.ca when I can buy them in store?

  • Vitamart.ca provides you with a personalized shopping experience to help empower a healthy lifestyle. Since we are an online company we save you anywhere from 10-30% of the cost of your supplements compared to a brick and mortar store. We have 2 warehouses on either end of the country, so shipping times across Canada are super fast!

Can I come pick up my order in person?

  • At this time we do not offer pick-ups at either of our locations. We do offer super fast shipping, so if you are local to our warehouses you should have your parcel the next day!

Where will my order ship from? 

  • We have 2 warehouses, one in Oakville, Ontario and one in Edmonton, Alberta. Whichever warehouse is closest to you is where your order will come from.
    Inventory may ship from the farther warehouse depending on stock availability

Are all prices in Canadian dollars?

  • YES! We are a proudly Canadian owned and operated company and all prices on Vitamart.ca are in Canadian dollars.

How do you ship Probiotics in the summer?

  • We completely understand your concern about your probiotics.  Our probiotics are not shipped with ice packs, but they are stored in the refrigerator at our facility. In my experience, the strains in a probiotic supplement are destroyed more due to humidity vs. temperature. A probiotic supplement that has 50 billion active cells actually has double this amount to account for temperature fluctuations. They are manufactured to be able to survive outside of refrigeration for <30 days. Upon receiving the probiotic from our manufacturer, they are immediately stored in a humidity-controlled refrigerator at our storage facility. I know most online retailers will ship the probiotics with an ice pack, however, in summers this is actually worse for the probiotic. At 30 degrees Celsius, the ice pack usually melts, thereby increasing the humidity in the package - causing further damage to the probiotic strains.  Most manufacturers that ship probiotics do not do so with ice packs, for the sole reason of increased humidity, and that’s why we don’t ship with ice packs either.
