About Hammer Nutrition

Hammer Nutrition makes products for endurance athletes — the people who are out for hours rather than minutes, and who need to eat and drink while moving. That shapes the range: gels and drink mixes you can take mid-effort, electrolyte capsules for long days in the heat, and recovery powders for afterwards. The formulas use complex carbohydrates rather than simple sugars, and are made without preservatives.

Fuelling during, and recovering after

The range splits by when you use it. Hammer Gel is the pocket-sized option for mid-effort. Heed is a drink mix for shorter sessions and Perpetuem for longer ones, where the demand shifts from pure carbohydrate toward something that also carries protein. Recoverite is the post-session powder, combining carbohydrate and whey protein. Sustained Energy sits alongside Perpetuem at the long end. Which you reach for is a question of duration more than intensity.

Endurolytes and electrolyte replacement

Endurolytes is the electrolyte line — sodium, potassium, magnesium, calcium and chloride, the minerals lost in sweat. It comes as capsules, an Extreme version with more sodium for heat and heavy sweating, and Fizz, an effervescent tablet that dissolves into water. Capsules let you take electrolytes without flavouring your drink; the tablet is simpler if you're refilling a bottle anyway. See our wider electrolyte range for other brands and formats.

Bottles, flasks and shakers

The range includes hardware as well as fuel: a 24oz water bottle, a leak-free 828ml shaker, and a 5oz flask sized for carrying gel on a long run or ride. Practical rather than exciting, but the flask in particular is the difference between carrying gel and wearing it.
