      Taurine is a conditionally essential amino acid which is not utilized in protein synthesis, but is mainly found free in most tissues, especially throughout the nervous system.  Taurine has been found to be important in the formation of bile salts, cell membrane stabilization, and eye health.  Taurine is well known for its role in the modulation of neurotransmitter activity and its relaxing effect on the mood.

      As a dietary supplement, take NOW Taurine 500mg 1 capsule 1 to 4 times daily with juice or water, preferably between meals.

        Mixed Review/Benefit

        Good product by Now Foods! Based on the great benefits of Taurine mentioned in my research, I bought it for heart health and to alleviate fatigue. I have used the product for months and am not certain of the results because sometimes I would get a boost of energy and other times it seem to increase my fatigue. However, I still use it in moderation when I’m not completely hungry. This has helped a bit but has not given me the preferred results of a consistent energy boost.
