Chamomile – German essential oil is used in aromatherapy to relieve minor skin irritations, cuts and minor burns as well as for symptomatic relief of acne and boils.

HISTORY

German chamomile is a tiny annual that grows mostly in temperate climates. It can also be found growing wild. The essential oil, obtained by steam distillation of its flowers, is blue in colour.

Topical (Adults) Mix 1 to 2 drops in 1/2 teaspoon (2.5ml) of vegetable oil; apply to the affected area 3 times a day.

Consult a health care practitioner if symptoms worsen or persist.
