The Tea Tree plant is native to Australia, where people have long used its leaves to soothe and calm skin irritations. We were the first company to bring it to the U.S. market in 1978, when we began forming relationships with environmentally conscious Australian farmers. Today, we work with a federation of plantation owners who embrace the strict sustainability standards of the Australian Tea Tree Environmental Alliance to produce this pure essential oil, which is guaranteed to be free of herbicides, pesticides and chemicals. Powerful, versatile and pure, it is perfect for uses ranging from skin care regimens to household cleaning.
Add one or two drops to a wet cotton pad for application to appropriate skin area. Do not use full strength on skin. Mix a few drops into your favorite shampoo to break up product buildup and reduce excess oil. Add three to four drops to a regular load of laundry during the wash cycle to refresh clothing. To create a household cleanser, add one teaspoon of oil to a gallon of water.
