Glutathione is often called the body’s “master antioxidant” — it’s made naturally in every cell and plays a central role in protecting cells from oxidative stress and supporting the body’s own detox processes. People take it as a supplement for everyday antioxidant support, and it’s closely tied to NAC, which the body uses to make its own glutathione. You’ll find it here in several forms: liposomal liquids and softgels (made for absorption), reduced glutathione (the standard active form), S-acetyl glutathione, and sublingual options, including the branded Setria glutathione. Shipped across Canada from our Ontario warehouse.

    What glutathione is

Glutathione is a small protein your body makes itself, found in every cell. It’s one of the body’s main antioxidants — it helps protect cells from oxidative stress and supports the body’s natural detoxification processes. Because levels can be affected by age and everyday demands, some people choose to supplement to support their antioxidant needs.

The forms — and why absorption matters

Plain glutathione can be broken down in digestion, so a lot of the choice here comes down to the form:

    • Liposomal — the glutathione is wrapped in a thin fat layer to help it survive digestion and absorb better; one of the most popular forms for that reason.
    • Reduced (GSH) — the standard active form, listed as “reduced” or “L-glutathione” on labels.
    • S-acetyl glutathione — an acetylated form designed to be more stable through digestion.
    • Sublingual — dissolved under the tongue, another route some prefer for absorption.
    • Setria — a branded, clinically studied form of glutathione you’ll see named on several labels.

    Glutathione and NAC

Glutathione and NAC are closely linked: your body uses NAC (N-acetyl cysteine) as a raw material to make its own glutathione. Some people take glutathione directly; others take NAC to support the body’s own production. Both are popular antioxidant choices.

    How to choose

If absorption is your main concern, liposomal or S-acetyl are the forms designed around it. Reduced glutathione is the straightforward standard. Check the amount per serving, and pick the format — liquid, softgel, capsule, or sublingual — that fits your routine.
