This comprehensive formula includes 5 mg of melatonin, a hormone key to regulating sleep-wake cycles alongside 5-hydroxytryptophan (5-HTP), and Suntheanine L-theanine.
Melatonin regulates our internal clock, making us feel sleepy at night. 5-HTP is an amino acid that increases the production of serotonin, an important brain chemical that regulates sleep and promotes a feeling of well-being. L-theanine (an amino acid found in green tea) supports feelings of relaxation and lowers the body’s response to stress, enabling more restful sleep.
Super Sleep also includes passionflower, which has traditionally been used as a sleeping aid, especially in cases of restlessness or insomnia due to mental stress. California poppy is also included for its mild sedative effects, alongside extracts of skullcap and linden.

Consult a physician if symptoms persist or worsen, or if sleeplessness persists continuously for more than 3 weeks (chronic insomnia). Consult a physician prior to use if you are taking carbidopa or drugs/supplements with serotonergic activity. These may include, but are not limited to, L-tryptophan, S-adenosylmethionine (SAMe), St. John’s wort, antidepressants, pain killers, over-the-counter cough and cold medication containing dextromethorphan, anti-nausea medication and anti-migraine medication. Discontinue use and consult a physician if you show signs of weakness, oral ulcers, or abdominal pain accompanied by severe muscle pain or if you experience skin changes. Consumption with alcohol, other medications or natural health products with sedative and/or analgesic properties is not recommended. Consult a physician prior to use if you are taking one of the following medications: anticoagulant, anticonvulsant, blood pressure medications, immunosuppressive medications, sedative, hypnotic or psychotropic medications, or steroids, or if you have one of the following conditions: asthma, cardiovascular disease, chronic kidney disease, depression, diabetes or hypoglycaemia, hormonal disorder, immune system disease, liver disease, migraine, or seizure disorders. Do not use if you have scleroderma or if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. Some people may experience drowsiness. Exercise caution if operating heavy machinery, driving a motor vehicle, or are involved in activities requiring mental alertness. Some people may experience diarrhea, nausea, vomiting, and abdominal pain. Mild gastrointestinal symptoms (nausea, vomiting, or cramping), rare allergic reactions, and hypersensitivity (e.g., allergy) have been known to occur, in which case discontinue use.
