Spikenard essential oil is used in cosmetic aromatherapy for its purifying and tonic properties on skin and scalp.
Spikenard essential oil is known to promote emotional balance. Its mild scent has a calming and relaxing effect on the mind. It is also used to stimulate hair growth.
HISTORY
Spikenard has grown on the world’s tallest mountain range, the Himalayans, for eons. Also called Nard, it is considered sacred and is an integral part of India’s Ayurvedic tradition. It was used as a luxury perfume in Ancient Egypt, the Middle East and Ancient Rome.
Topical (Adults): Mix 1 to 2 drops in ½ teaspoon (2.5ml) of vegetable oil.
