About Terry Naturally

Terry Naturally works largely in standardised botanical extracts, and names them on the label — BCM-95 is its curcumin, Bosmed its boswellia. Several formulas are certified kosher or halal. The Curamin range combines curcumin and boswellia with DLPA, an amino acid, in a single capsule; CuraPro is the curcumin on its own, at 250mg and 500mg.

Curcumin, boswellia, and why they're paired

Curcumin comes from turmeric root; boswellia is a resin from the Boswellia serrata tree, also known as frankincense. Both have long histories in Ayurvedic practice, and both are commonly formulated together — which is what the Curamin range is. The reason curcumin is sold as a branded, standardised extract rather than plain turmeric powder is absorption: curcumin on its own is poorly absorbed, so extracts are formulated to address that, and each does it differently. Kosher and halal certification

Several Terry Naturally products carry kosher or halal certification, which is stated in the product name where it applies — the CuraPro Optimum is halal-certified, and several Curamin formulas are kosher. Worth knowing if that's a requirement for you, since softgels in particular can use gelatin from sources that wouldn't qualify.
