    About Prospek glasses

Prospek is an eyewear brand rather than a supplement line — frames with a lens coating that filters part of the blue wavelength range. The line-up is organised by frame style and by whether you want magnification: Artist, Dynamic, Wayfarer, CatEyes, Elite, Ultimate and others, in reading strengths or plain. There's a Peak frame sized for teens, a kids' frame, and Lumin Shift, a tinted lens meant for driving in rain, fog and at night.

What a blue-light filter actually is

A blue-light filter is a lens coating or tint that reduces how much light from the blue end of the visible spectrum passes through. Screens emit some blue light, as does daylight — considerably more of it, in fact. The coating changes what reaches your eye; how much difference that makes to how your eyes feel at the end of a day is something people report differently. Worth knowing alongside it: eye comfort at a screen is also shaped by how often you blink, how long you hold one focus distance, and screen brightness relative to the room. If your eyes are consistently sore or your vision changes, an eye exam is the right next step, not eyewear bought online.

    Readers, plain frames and magnification

The main choice here is magnification. Reading strengths suit people who already reach for readers and want the filter coating in the same pair. The no-magnification frames are for people whose distance vision is fine and who just want the lens. Kids' and teen frames come without magnification. Check the product page for the strength before ordering — the frames differ in which strengths they're offered in.
