Lung cleanse supplements are products people use for everyday respiratory support — from expectorant herbs that help clear mucus to antioxidants like NAC and quercetin. You'll find them here as liquid herbal tonics, capsules and traditional formulas. They're meant to support normal respiratory comfort, not to treat asthma, COPD or any lung disease — if you have a diagnosed condition or symptoms that linger, see your doctor. Stocked here and shipped from our Ontario warehouse across Canada.

What “lung cleanse” supplements actually do

Despite the name, these supplements don't literally detox or scrub the lungs — your body already clears them on its own. Most work in one of a few ways: expectorant herbs help loosen and move mucus, antioxidants like NAC and quercetin help counter everyday oxidative stress, and soothing herbs ease occasional throat and respiratory irritation. They're used for general respiratory comfort, not to cure or treat lung disease.

    Common ingredients to look for

    • NAC (N-acetyl-cysteine) — an antioxidant amino-acid derivative included in formulas like CanPrev Healthy Lungs.
    • Quercetin and vitamin C — antioxidants found in lung blends; also sold on their own as quercetin and vitamin C.
    • Expectorant & soothing herbs — mullein, thyme, plantain and marshmallow appear in liquid tonics from St. Francis Herb Farm, Naka, Prairie Naturals and Botanica.
    • Traditional & homeopathic formulas — some products use traditional herbal or homeopathic preparations, such as Biomed Thuja.

    Who reaches for these

People often look to respiratory-support supplements through cold and flu season, when seasonal irritants are high, or to support their lungs after quitting smoking. They work best as a complement to the basics — not smoking, decent air quality and staying active — rather than a replacement for them.

Please read — when to see a doctor

These supplements are for general respiratory support only. They are not a treatment for asthma, COPD, bronchitis, pneumonia or any diagnosed lung condition. If you have trouble breathing, a persistent cough, chest pain, or symptoms that don't improve, see a healthcare professional. Check with your pharmacist before combining them with prescription medication, or if you're pregnant or breastfeeding.
