BestVitamin Best Oregano Oil is Extracted from the fragrant leaves of the oregano plant and happens to have a wide range of uses.  BestVitamin Best Oregano uses wild Mediterranean oregano from Turkey standardized to 75–85% carvacrol content.

Oregano oil extract has demonstrated antioxidative, antimicrobial, and antiviral properties. Carvacrol is one of nature’s most potent antimicrobials, as it has beneficial effects against several strains of both Gram-positive and -negative bacteria and several species of fungi and yeast.

Oregano oil has antiseptic, anti-inflammatory, and analgesic properties. Therefore, the oil can be used topically on cuts or abrasions to prevent infections, on fungal infections such as athlete’s foot, as well as on the gums to assist in pain reduction.

Research has shown that the antimicrobial activity of oil of oregano is maintained up to boiling-point temperatures and can therefore be used effectively as a disinfectant as well.
