To supply essential workers with at least some level of protection during the shortage of N95 masks, we have decided to allocate part of our production to cotton face masks using the same fabrics for some of our VetMedWear recovery garments.

Our 100% organic cotton face mask has three layers of fabric with a pouch for inserting an optional filter. Filters are not included with the mask and we are currently not recommending any specific filter brands. The fabric and face masks are entirely made in Canada.
 
 
Although this mask does not have the same level of protection as an N95 mask, it limits pathogens from transmitting to others if the user coughs, sneezes, or talks closely. It also protects the user from touching their mouth and nose. This mask is designed to be more comfortable than an N95 mask, making it more ideal for long term use at work or when outside in public. Our fabric is soft, breathable, and hypoallergenic making the mask comfortable to wear.
 
The mask is washable, however we recommend hand washing and avoiding the dryer to preserve the integrity of the mask for a longer period of time.

The ear straps may be adjusted by tying a knot in between the loop. This shortens the size of the loop creating a tighter pull and more secure fit. 
 
Our face masks are sold in the following mix of colors: teal green, blue, grey, and purple. Colors may vary depending on our availability of fabric. There is currently no option to select specific colors at this time. 
 
 
 
 

Care Instructions:
  1. Wash before use.
  2. Between uses, hand-wash mask with antibacterial soap for 2-3 minutes and rinse with warm tap water.
  3. Soak mask for at least 7-10 minutes in hot water with temperatures between 45 degrees Celsius to 60 degrees Celsius. Tap water at the highest heat setting will do.
  4. As an alternative, you can use a clothes steamer to steam the mask after each use for 7-10 minutes.
  5. Squeeze excess water out and hang to dry.
  6. Always wash mask after one day of use or prolonged contact with other people.
  7. Wash masks on their own. Never wash with clothes (may be washed in a delicates/lingerie bag in a machine at high temperatures).
  8. Added measure: wash hands often with warm water and anti-bacterial soap, and refrain from touching any area of your space.
SPECIAL NOTE: This product is not a substitute for a medical mask such as the N95. It should not be worn by healthcare professionals in a hospital setting or those
treating patients who have become ill. Social distancing and regular hand washing still remain the most effective means of reducing the spread of a virus. Keep safe,
keep health, go wash your hands.

    Practical

    I like this mask because it’s well made and fits correctly. I got the size M, I’m a female adult. The colour is very drab though, kind of a greyish colour. I wanted it in black but it was out of stock. I like the strap around the back of the neck because I can remove the mask when I’m outside and it hangs from my neck. I wish they hadn’t made the strap white though because it makes it too noticeable. Also they should make both sides of the strap removable because I don’t always want the strap attached.

    These masks are wonderful. Easy to adjust, have a metal thing at the top to adjust to your nose. Extra strap so you don't lose it if you take it off. Bought for the whole family.

    Good Quality

    I am pleasantly surprised at the quality of the product for the price. Comes with a neck piece to keep it around your neck if you remove it from your face (great when you get into your car after visiting the store). The only change I would make is if both sides of the neck piece clipped instead of one side, so you could remove it when you're not using it. Overall really happy. I'll be ordering a couple more. I'm a petite adult and the S fit me perfectly (:
