Organic Traditions Coconut oil is one of the most nutritious plant-based anti-bacterial, anti-microbial saturated fats containing medium chain fatty acids (MCTs), which are easily digested by the body and provide a perfect slow burning fuel. Coconut oil is comprised of over 60% MCTs such as caprylic acid, capric acid and most notably lauric acid, which is a unique anti-microbial compound that is found in mother's breast milk. It is one of the most stable oils for high-heat cooking (up to 175 degrees C).
