L-Phenylalanine is an essential amino acid that can be readily converted into the amino acid tyrosine. Because tyrosine is necessary for the synthesis of proteins and the production of the neurotransmitters, phenylalanine is an extremely important nutrient that must be obtained through the diet or supplementation.
As a dietary supplement, take one capsule of NOW L-Phenylalanine 500mg in 1 to 3 times daily as needed, preferably between meals. Consider taking this product in combination with NOW® P-5-P and DHA-250.
