St. Francis Yarrow Tincture Details
Yarrow is among the oldest documented medicinal plants in Western herbalism — its Latin name, Achillea, refers to Achilles, who is said to have carried it to treat his soldiers' wounds.
It has held a place in traditional Western herbal practice ever since, and remains one of the herbs most consistently found in a practitioner's dispensary. St. Francis makes theirs from the flowering tops at 1:4, in a base of certified organic alcohol, distilled water and organic vegetable glycerin.
Made from yarrow (Achillea millefolium, flowering tops) at 250 mg Quantity Crude Equivalent per millilitre, in a base of distilled water and certified organic alcohol. 50 ml with a dropper.
St. Francis Herb Farm has been making liquid herbal extracts in Ontario since 1988. Their tinctures use certified organic alcohol and distilled water, and are made to a stated extraction ratio so you know the strength of what you are taking.
Who St. Francis Yarrow Tincture Is For
This suits anyone building a traditional Western herbal routine, and people already familiar with yarrow who want a well-made tincture rather than a tea. The glycerin in the base makes it slightly gentler on the palate than a straight alcohol extraction.
Yarrow is in the daisy family, so anyone with a ragweed, chrysanthemum or daisy allergy should be cautious. Consult a practitioner if symptoms worsen or persist, or before use in pregnancy.
St. Francis Yarrow Tincture Features and Benefits
