• Concentration (strength) — check the combined EPA + DHA per serving, not just the total fish-oil milligrams. A “1000 mg fish oil” softgel and a high-concentration one can deliver very different omega-3 amounts.
• Form — softgels are convenient and travel well; liquids make higher doses easy and are good for anyone who doesn’t like swallowing capsules. Enteric-coated softgels are designed to cut back on fishy repeat.
• Purity — look for products tested for freshness and contaminants like mercury. Many here are wild-caught and third-party tested.
