Naka Platinum Pure Avocado Moisturizing Oil Details
Naka Platinum Pure Avocado Moisturizing Oil is 100% pure avocado (Persea americana) oil in a 130ml UV-protected bottle — cold pressed, hexane free, for skin and hair. Naka makes it from cold-pressed fresh avocado seeds and adds nothing else.
It has a subtle aroma and works as a carrier oil for combining other skin care oils and essential oils. Naka points it at beauty routines such as DIY hair care, lists it as a great hair mask, and notes it finds its way into many skin care applications. Additional ingredients: none. Made in Canada.

Who This Avocado Oil Is For
- People with genuinely dry skin who have found lighter oils vanish without leaving anything behind
- Anyone doing a weekly hair mask — Naka lists that use as a feature, and the directions also allow adding drops to shampoo
- Dry scalp routines, where a richer oil gives you something to massage in
- Anyone trying a rich treatment oil without committing to a large bottle
Who this product is NOT for: if you want a fast-absorbing facial oil that leaves no residue, this is the wrong end of the shelf — Naka Platinum Pure Jojoba Oil and Naka Fractionated Coconut MCT Oil are much lighter. For full-body massage, 130ml won't go far and Naka's 270ml sweet almond oil is the better buy per millilitre. If the target is fine lines and uneven tone, Naka Platinum Pure Rosehip Oil is built for that. And this is a topical beauty oil, not the culinary avocado oil you cook with.
Vitamart's Take
Avocado oil is the heavy end of the everyday carrier oil range, and that is the reason to buy it. It spreads thickly, absorbs slowly and leaves a definite conditioned feel — exactly what you want on winter elbows, a dry scalp or the ends of long hair, and exactly what you don't want on a face at 7am. Buying it is a decision about texture more than anything else.
Two honest notes. First, 130ml makes this a treatment-sized purchase rather than a massage-sized one. Second, Naka's spec here is short: 100% pure, cold pressed, hexane free, UV-protected bottle, and that is the list. We stock it because those four are the ones that matter in a pressed beauty oil, and because a single-ingredient bottle with nothing added is getting hard to find. We won't pretend it does anything a rich plant oil can't.
How This Avocado Oil Compares
Carrier oils are chosen on weight, absorption speed and bottle size more than on any headline ingredient. Avocado sits heavy, slow and small.
- Versus Naka Platinum Pure Jojoba Oil: jojoba absorbs and effectively disappears; avocado stays and conditions. Jojoba is the better face and blending oil, avocado the better dry-patch and hair-mask oil.
- Versus Naka Platinum Pure Sweet Organic Almond Oil: almond is the middleweight at twice the volume, so it is the value choice for whole-body use. Avocado is richer in a smaller bottle.
- Versus castor oil: castor is heavier still and genuinely tacky, which is why it gets used on lashes, brows and heels. Avocado is rich without being sticky.
- Versus a body butter: a butter is solid, blended with waxes and often fragranced. This is one liquid ingredient to layer over damp skin or stir into something else.
What Does A Comedogenic Rating Actually Measure?
Search any plant oil and you will find it assigned a comedogenic rating from 0 to 5, presented as though it were printed on the bottle. It isn't. Those numbers trace back to mid-century assays in which substances were applied to the inside of a rabbit's ear — tissue chosen because it forms comedones readily — and scored. The scale ranks how a neat substance behaved on animal tissue under occlusion, not what a finished product does on a human face.
That matters in three ways. Concentration is ignored: an oil scored neat tells you nothing about the same oil at five percent in a lotion. Published numbers disagree, because different labs ran different protocols and the internet has copied them from each other since. And the scale measures pore blockage alone, so it says nothing about whether an oil will irritate you. Naka publishes no rating for this oil and we won't invent one. The useful test is the one you can run: apply a little to a small area for a few days and watch what your skin does. For most people the texture question — rich and slow versus light and fast — settles it long before any number would.
How To Use
As a skin conditioner, apply a few drops of avocado oil onto the desired area and lightly massage into skin. As a hair conditioner, apply directly to the scalp, or add several drops to shampoo before applying. Can also be used as a carrier oil for your favourite essential oils. For freshness, store in a cool, dry and dark place. FOR EXTERNAL USE ONLY. AVOID CONTACT WITH EYES. KEEP OUT OF REACH OF CHILDREN. IF IRRITATION OCCURS, DISCONTINUE USE.
