Naka Platinum Electrolytes and Energy Natural Sport Drink Mix Powder Details
Naka Platinum Electrolytes and Energy Natural Sport Drink Mix Powder is a zero-calorie, zero-sugar hydration drink: one heaping 4.3g scoop in 500ml of water, 58 servings to the 250g tub, in natural mixed berry flavour sweetened with stevia leaf and xylitol. Per serving it carries 400 mg potassium, 200 mg calcium, 120 mg magnesium, 100 mg sodium and 60 mg vitamin C, plus a B-vitamin group led by 50 mcg of B12 as methylcobalamin, and a herbal trio of Panax ginseng, hawthorn and beetroot.
Naka positions it to enhance physical performance, support energy metabolism and tissue formation, aid the formation of red blood cells for oxygen transport, maintain proper muscle function including the heart muscle, and help regulate electrolyte balance for hydration. Vegan, gluten free and non-GMO, made in Canada.

Who This Sport Drink Mix Is For
- People who want a flavoured hydration drink with no sugar and no calories — the sweetness is stevia leaf and xylitol, not carbohydrate.
- Gym and class trainers doing an hour at a time who want minerals and B vitamins in one glass rather than three pills.
- Anyone who underdrinks because water is boring, and will finish 500ml because it tastes of something.
- Shoppers needing it vegan, gluten free and non-GMO, with no added nuts, eggs, dairy, soy, corn or wheat.
Who this product is NOT for: heavy, salty sweaters doing long sessions in heat. At 100 mg of sodium per serving this is potassium-forward, and replacing serious sweat losses needs several times that — look through Electrolyte Supplements for a sodium-dominant option. It is also not fuel: at 0 g carbohydrate it will not keep a long ride going, which is what Carbohydrate Blends are for. And if you want a therapeutic magnesium dose, 120 mg is a supporting amount — Magnesium Powder Supplements go much higher.
Vitamart's Take
We stock this because it is genuinely two products in one tub. The electrolyte side is real — five minerals, not just salt and potassium — and the vitamin side is no token dusting: 50 mcg of B12, 20 mg of niacin and 60 mg of vitamin C per scoop is a proper daily amount. For anyone already buying a B-complex and an electrolyte separately, one scoop in 500ml is simpler and usually lower-cost.
The honest trade-off is that a formula doing two jobs does neither at the extreme. If you want maximum sodium for hot-weather endurance work, this is not it; if you want high-dose magnesium or a clinical ginseng extract, buy those on their own. What it is good at is the everyday case — an hour of training, a hot day, a flavoured glass of water carrying a sensible mineral and B-vitamin load. It is sweetened with stevia and xylitol, so if you dislike either you will dislike this.
How This Sport Drink Mix Compares
Across hydration powders the variables are the sodium-to-potassium ratio, whether there is carbohydrate, how much else rides along, and tub versus sachets.
- Versus the Naka sachets: Naka Platinum Electrolytes + Energy Powder, 24 Sachets is the portable form — one sachet per bottle, no scoop. The tub is better value per serving at home.
- Versus plain electrolyte powders: most of the Electrolyte Supplements shelf is sodium, potassium and magnesium only — cleaner if that is all you want, but no B vitamins, vitamin C or herbals.
- Versus a pre-workout: Pre-Workout Supplements are built on stimulants and pump ingredients. This has no caffeine — the energy angle is B vitamins and ginseng, slower and less noticeable.
- Versus bottled sports drinks: those carry sugar for fuel and weight. A 250g tub makes 58 servings from water you already have.
Why the Potassium Number Matters Here
Most hydration products lead with sodium, because sodium is what you lose most of in sweat and what pulls water across the gut wall. This one is built the other way round: 400 mg of potassium to 100 mg of sodium, a four-to-one ratio. Potassium sits inside your cells rather than in the fluid around them, working opposite sodium to maintain the gradient that lets muscle and nerve cells fire — which is why it underpins Naka's claim about supporting proper muscle function, including the heart muscle. Add 120 mg of magnesium and 200 mg of calcium, the other two minerals in contraction and relaxation, and the mineral side reads as a muscle-function blend rather than a pure sweat-replacement one.
The energy half works differently. Niacin, B6 and B12 are cofactors in the pathways that turn food into usable energy — they do not supply energy themselves, which is why Naka's wording is "supports energy metabolism". B12 and B6 also feature in red blood cell formation, the basis of the oxygen-transport claim. The herbals round it out: 250 mg beetroot, 125 mg Panax ginseng root at 4:1, 25 mg hawthorn flower and leaf at 5:1 — and beetroot being a strong pigment, the label flags it may cause urine discolouration.
How To Use
