Naka Herbs Nutri B100 Complex Details
Naka Herbs Nutri B100 Complex puts a full B 100 panel into one vegetable capsule a day — 100 mg each of B1, B2, B3, B5 and B6, 500 mcg of B12 as methylcobalamin, 1000 mcg of folate, 100 mcg of biotin, plus choline, inositol and 50 mg of alpha-lipoic acid. Reaching B 100 amounts in a single capsule is unusual; most complexes at this strength split the serving across two or three.
Naka's stated purposes for the formula are specific: it helps normal growth plus the formation of tissue and red blood cells, helps the body metabolize carbohydrates, fats and proteins, helps reduce the risk of neural tube defects when taken daily prior to becoming pregnant and during early pregnancy, and acts as an antioxidant and factor for the maintenance of good health. Naka also positions it to help fight vitamin B deficiency, fatigue, and moodiness or mild mood related disorders. Made in Canada, non-GMO, in a BPA free bottle.

Who This B100 Complex Is For
- People who want the high end of B complex potency without a two or three capsule routine
- Shoppers who want methylcobalamin in their complex rather than cyanocobalamin
- Anyone looking for the antioxidant side too — the alpha-lipoic acid carries Naka's antioxidant claim
- Those on a plant-based diet, since this is a vegetarian capsule rather than gelatin
- People planning a pregnancy, which is the use Naka names for the 1000 mcg of folate
Who this product is NOT for: B 100 is not a better version of B 50 for everyone — it is twice the amount, and if general daily cover is what you want, Naka Herbs Nutri B50 Complex High Potency is the sensible level and lasts three months. If you want activated forms right across the panel rather than only for B12, Naka Platinum Pro BioMax uses benfotiamine, riboflavin 5'-phosphate, P5P and methylfolate throughout. And if swallowing capsules is the obstacle, Naka BioMax Methylated Liquid B-Complex is the same idea you can pour.
Vitamart's Take
The single capsule is the whole argument for this one. B 100 formulas are normally multi-capsule products because that much powder does not fit in one shell comfortably, so a complex that gets there in one daily capsule is doing something most of its competition does not. The B12 being methylcobalamin at 500 mcg rather than cyanocobalamin is a real step up on Naka's B50 capsule, and the 50 mg of alpha-lipoic acid is the only place in Naka's B range you will find it — it is also what Naka's antioxidant claim rests on, rather than the B vitamins themselves.
Two honest points. The forms are a mix rather than a clean sweep: methylcobalamin for B12, a pyridoxine and P5P blend for B6, but plain thiamine hydrochloride, plain riboflavin and folic acid for folate. If activated forms are the reason you are shopping at this price level, Pro BioMax is the more thorough build. And a full B 100 in one capsule is a lot to take at once, which is why Naka's instruction is to take it with food — if you would rather spread your B vitamins across the day, a three-capsule formula does that by design.
How This B100 Complex Compares
Naka's B complexes separate on three things — the potency level, which form of each vitamin is used, and how much routine a serving demands.
- Versus Naka Platinum Pro BioMax: Same potency class by a different route. Pro BioMax spreads B 100 across three capsules, uses activated forms throughout and adds adaptogenic herbs; this reaches it in one capsule and adds alpha-lipoic acid instead.
- Versus Naka Herbs Nutri B50 Complex High Potency: Half the milligrams, also one capsule a day, with cyanocobalamin B12 and a gelatin shell. B50 is the general daily level; this is the deliberate step up.
- Versus Naka BioMax Methylated Liquid B-Complex: A liquid with methylated folate and twice the B12, but lower milligram amounts across B1, B2 and B6. Form versus potency, in a nutshell.
- Versus a multivitamin: A multi covers vitamins A to K and the minerals, so its B amounts are a small fraction of these.
Why Some B Vitamins Are in mg and Others in mcg
Read this panel closely and the number 100 appears in two different units. B1, B2, B3, B5 and B6 are each at 100 mg; biotin is at 100 mcg. A milligram is a thousand micrograms, so those two lines look identical and differ a thousandfold in actual quantity. B12 at 500 mcg is half a milligram, and the folate at 1000 mcg is exactly one. The units are not a labelling quirk — they track how much of each vitamin the body actually uses, and across the B group that varies by roughly three orders of magnitude.
The reason sits in what each one does. B1, B2, B3 and B5 are cofactors in the pathways that release energy from carbohydrate and fat, and those enzymes work continuously, so the body turns over substantial quantities. B12, folate and biotin take part in reactions calling for far smaller amounts — B12 in particular is used in minute quantities and largely recycled rather than consumed. The upshot when comparing complexes is simple: read the unit before you compare the number.
How To Use
