Aiya Sweetened Matcha To Go Details

Matcha latte mix in single-serving sticks, sweetened with cane sugar. Three ingredients, no equipment, 8 sticks.

This is the classic sweetened one. Aiya makes four To Go formats: this uses cane sugar, the Sugar-Free version uses stevia, the Roasted version uses cane sugar with slow-roasted matcha, and the plain Matcha To Go has no sweetener at all.

The ingredient list is short enough to read in full: pure cane sugar, Japanese matcha green tea, fruit pectin. The pectin is what gives a matcha latte its body rather than tasting thin.

Mix a stick into hot or cold milk, dairy or not, and you have a latte without a cafe, a whisk or a steamer.

Aiya has been family-owned since 1888 and is run today by the fifth generation of the Sugita family. They are based in Nishio, in Japan's Aichi prefecture, where matcha has been grown for over 800 years.

Who Aiya Sweetened Matcha To Go Is For

This suits anyone who likes matcha lattes sweet and does not want to measure powder and sugar separately. It is also the easiest introduction to matcha for someone who has not had it before — sweetened is where most people start.

Eight sticks. If you prefer no sugar, the plain Matcha To Go Sticks are unsweetened; if you want sweetness without sugar, the Sugar-Free To Go uses stevia.
