St. Francis Skin Harmony Face Oil Details
Nourishing, protective skin care. Skin Harmony is a nourishing organic blend of castor oil, rose hip oil and black seed that provides fatty acids, antioxidants and vitamins in one rich but lightweight formula. Suitable for all skin types.
The three oils are chosen to complement rather than duplicate. Castor oil is thick and occlusive, sealing moisture in. Rose hip seed is the one with the reputation for skin tone and texture, rich in fatty acids and naturally containing vitamin A compounds. Black seed — Nigella sativa — contributes thymoquinone and a long traditional record in skin care.
It is cold pressed and hexane free, which is worth stating. Many commercial seed oils are solvent extracted with hexane, and cold pressing preserves more of what makes the oil worth using while avoiding the solvent entirely.
Rosemary extract infused in extra virgin olive oil rounds the blend and helps keep the oils from oxidising, which is what makes natural face oils go rancid.
