Who this product is NOT for:

Vitamart's Take
This is a proper herbal cough syrup rather than just elderberry in honey. Wild cherry bark is the largest herbal ingredient, elderberry juice concentrate provides QCE 4009 mg per dose, and lobelia, echinacea and marshmallow root round it out. The honey, lemon peel and cinnamon base keeps it pleasant to take. Because lobelia is in the formula, the label has more cautions than a typical syrup — read them if you smoke, take lithium or have high blood pressure. Take it a few hours apart from other medications.
How Elderberry Cough Syrup Compares
Adults vs. Kids version
St. Francis Elderberry Cough Syrup for Kids is the children's formula. The adult syrup is labelled for adults at 5 mL three times daily.
Elderberry cough syrup vs. plain elderberry syrup
Many elderberry syrups contain elderberry alone. This one adds wild cherry bark, lobelia, echinacea and marshmallow root for coughs and catarrh.
Syrup vs. throat spray
St. Francis Stop It Cold Throat Spray is sprayed directly on a dry, sore throat. The syrup is swallowed for cough and congestion.
