Naka Platinum Pure Jojoba Moisturizing Oil Details
Naka Platinum Pure Jojoba Moisturizing Oil is 100% pure certified organic jojoba (Simmondsia chinensis) oil in a 270ml bottle — one unrefined, cold-pressed oil that works as a skin moisturizer, a hair conditioner, a body oil and a carrier for essential oils. It is cold-pressed from fresh jojoba seeds and UV protected, which keeps an unrefined oil in the condition it left the press in.
Jojoba is what people reach for when heavier oils feel like too much. It absorbs rather than leaving a film, it has almost no scent of its own, and it is the standard base for diluting essential oils because it does not fight them. Single ingredient, nothing added. Made in Canada.

Who This Jojoba Oil Is For
- Anyone who found heavier plant oils too greasy and wants something that sinks in
- People blending their own roll-ons or massage blends and needing a neutral, nearly odourless base
- Dry hair and scalp — the directions have you work it into wet hair before shampooing, so it rinses out rather than building up
- Shoppers who want a single-ingredient certified organic oil with no fragrance or additives
- Anyone restocking: 270ml is the working size, not a sample bottle
Who this product is NOT for: if you want the heaviest, most occlusive oil for cracked heels or an overnight hair mask, jojoba is the wrong pick — Naka Platinum Organic Castor Oil and Naka Pure Avocado Oil stay put far longer. For a facial oil built around fine lines, scars and age spots, Naka Platinum Pure Rosehip Oil is the one. This is a topical oil, not a supplement.
Vitamart's Take
Jojoba is the least exciting and most useful bottle in the carrier oil section. It has no signature benefit the way rosehip or castor oil does — what it has is near-universal tolerance. It sits closer to what skin already produces than any other common plant oil, so it tends to be the one that does not break people out, does not smell and does not turn in a drawer. If you are buying one oil and do not yet know what your skin wants, buy this one.
The trade-off is cost per millilitre. Jojoba seeds yield a liquid wax rather than a conventional fat, and certified organic, cold-pressed, unrefined material is the expensive end of that supply. We think it earns it: as a carrier you are diluting essential oils you already paid for, so a stable, neutral base protects that spend. What we will not pretend is that it is dramatic. Jojoba is maintenance.
How This Jojoba Oil Compares
Plant oils differ mostly in how heavy they feel, how fast they absorb and how long they keep. Jojoba sits at the light, stable, neutral end of all three.
- Versus Naka Fractionated Coconut MCT Oil: both are light, neutral carriers. Fractionated coconut is thinner and lower-cost; jojoba is closer to skin's own sebum and better on face and scalp.
- Versus heavier oils: castor and avocado coat and seal, jojoba absorbs. Different jobs, and plenty of people own both.
- Versus refined jojoba: refining makes an oil paler and more uniform by stripping minor components. This is unrefined, which is why shade varies slightly batch to batch.
What Makes Jojoba Different From Other Plant Oils?
Jojoba is not technically an oil. Almost every other bottle in this aisle — almond, avocado, rosehip — is a triglyceride: three fatty acid chains hung off a glycerol backbone. Jojoba is a wax ester: one long fatty acid joined to one long alcohol, no glycerol at all. It is liquid at room temperature only because its chains carry a kink, which is why it behaves like an oil while being chemically closer to wax.
That matters twice. The wax esters human skin secretes in its own sebum are built the same way, which is why jojoba spreads and absorbs like skin's own oil instead of sitting on top as a foreign film. And triglycerides are what go rancid — the backbone splits, polyunsaturated chains oxidise. Jojoba has neither problem to the same degree, so it keeps far longer than a seed oil: the base outlasts whatever you blend into it.
How To Use
As a skin conditioner, lightly massage jojoba oil into damp skin after showering to hydrate and seal in moisture. As a hair conditioner, apply and massage into wet hair and scalp before shampooing. Can also be used as a carrier oil for your favourite essential oils. For freshness, store in a cool, dry and dark place. FOR EXTERNAL USE ONLY. KEEP OUT OF REACH OF CHILDREN.
