Naka Platinum Advanced Cleanse Details

Naka Platinum Advanced Cleanse is a bedtime capsule formulated to help relieve occasional constipation, built on 300 mg of Triphala fruit extract (4:1, QCE 1,200 mg) per capsule with 120 mg of magnesium, 75 mg of aloe leaf latex, and 25 mg each of marshmallow and dandelion root. The label dose is two capsules at bedtime, two to three times a week — so 600 mg of Triphala, 240 mg of magnesium and 150 mg of aloe per dose.

Naka's claims: the formula helps to maintain normal electrolyte balance and proper muscle function, including the heart muscle, while Triphala is traditionally used in Ayurveda as a digestive tonic to promote digestive fire, increase appetite and aid in digestion (stomachic), as a laxative for the relief of occasional constipation, as an eye tonic, and as Rasayana — a rejuvenative tonic. Non-irradiated, gluten and GMO-free, vegan friendly. Made in Canada, in 60 and 125 capsule sizes.

Who Advanced Cleanse Is For

  • People dealing with occasional rather than everyday constipation, who want something for two or three nights a week
  • Anyone who has tried a bulking fibre and found it insufficient or uncomfortable, and wants a different mechanism
  • Those drawn to Ayurvedic formulas who want the Triphala ratio printed — 4:1, QCE 1,200 mg, three fruits itemised rather than hidden in a blend
  • Travellers and anyone whose routine has been disrupted and whose digestion went with it
  • People who prefer the bedtime-dose, next-morning-result pattern

Who this product is NOT for: This is a laxative formula dosed two to three times a week, not a daily digestive supplement, and it is the wrong first choice for long-term use. If you want something for every day, a bulking fibre from our Fibre Supplements range or a plain Magnesium Citrate is the gentler route. If your trouble is bloating and heaviness after meals rather than transit, Naka Platinum Digestive Enzymes or Naka Platinum Betaine HCL 650mg address the breakdown end instead. And if you suspect gut flora is the underlying picture, a probiotic such as Naka Pro PB7+ Multi-Strain Probiotic is slower but more sustainable.

Vitamart's Take

We stock this because it is a properly built version of a category that is usually either one herb or one mineral. Advanced Cleanse runs three mechanisms at once — a traditional Ayurvedic laxative fruit blend, an osmotic mineral, and two soothing roots — and it tells you the amount of each, right down to 100 mg per fruit rather than "Triphala blend" with no numbers attached.

The trade-off is what the category always is, and we would rather name it. A laxative formula is a tool for a stretch of weeks, not a supplement you take forever, and Naka's directions set it at two to three nights a week, going daily only if results are not showing. If you find yourself needing it every night for months, the question has stopped being which laxative and started being what is causing it.

How Advanced Cleanse Compares

Products for constipation work in four broad ways: bulking, osmotic, stimulant and motility. This one combines two.

  • Versus bulking Fibre Supplements: Psyllium and acacia add volume and need plenty of water. They are the daily, indefinite option; this is the targeted, intermittent one.
  • Versus plain magnesium: Magnesium Oxide and Magnesium Citrate give the osmotic effect alone, at higher milligrams and a lower cost per dose. Advanced Cleanse adds the botanicals on top of 240 mg per dose.
  • Versus single-herb Triphala Supplements: Straight Triphala is the Ayurvedic digestive tonic without the magnesium or the aloe — choose it if the tonic use rather than the laxative use is the point.
  • Versus the wider Laxative Supplements shelf: Senna and cascara are the better-known options. Compare on how often the label says to use them, not just on strength.

What Is Triphala?

Triphala means "three fruits" in Sanskrit, and that is exactly what it is: equal parts amla, bibhitaki (listed here as Myrobalan) and haritaki. Naka uses 100 mg of each as a 4:1 extract, so the 300 mg on the panel represents 1,200 mg of raw fruit — and Ayurvedic practice treats the three together as a single remedy rather than as a mix.

The rest of the formula works on different levers. The aloe is leaf latex, not inner-leaf gel — the bitter yellow layer just beneath the leaf skin, traditionally the laxative part of the plant and a genuinely different material from the aloe juice in drinks or the gel in moisturisers. The magnesium is magnesium oxide, and its poor absorption is the point rather than a flaw: what stays in the bowel holds water with it, softening what is there osmotically. That same 120 mg carries Naka's electrolyte balance and muscle function claims. Marshmallow adds mucilage and dandelion a traditional bitter.

How To Use

Adults: 2 capsules 1 time per day. Take a single dose at bedtime, a few hours before or after taking other medications or health products, two to three times per week. Frequency of use may be increased up to once daily if results are not observed. Allow at least 6 to 12 hours for the laxative effect to occur.

Frequently Asked Questions

➕ How often should I take it?
Two capsules at bedtime, two to three times per week. Frequency may be increased up to once daily if results are not observed.
➕ How long until it works?
Allow at least 6 to 12 hours, which is why the dose is taken at bedtime — the effect lands the following morning.
➕ Which bottle size should I buy?
The 60-capsule bottle is 30 two-capsule doses and the 125 is 62. At two to three nights a week, the smaller size already lasts ten to fifteen weeks.
➕ Is the aloe the same as aloe vera juice?
No. This is aloe leaf latex, the bitter layer under the leaf skin, traditionally the laxative part of the plant. Juices and gels use the inner leaf instead.
➕ Why magnesium oxide rather than bisglycinate?
Oxide is poorly absorbed, and in a constipation formula that is deliberate — magnesium left in the bowel draws water with it. Bisglycinate is the form for when you want it absorbed.
➕ How is this different from a fibre supplement?
Fibre adds bulk and is designed for daily use. Advanced Cleanse pairs a traditional Ayurvedic laxative blend with an osmotic mineral, two to three nights a week.
