We keep this because it is one of the few genuinely complete multis at the bottom of the price range, and the extras are not token. Reishi and shiitake extracts, grape seed, lipoic acid, rutin, hesperidin and papain in a multivitamin is a list you normally pay well above this for. Add iron, iodine, selenium, chromium and molybdenum and a two-capsule dose covers more ground than most four-capsule formulas.

The trade-offs are real. The B vitamins are the old forms, not the methylated ones — fine for most people, a dealbreaker for anyone set on P-5-P and methylfolate. Vitamin D at 400 IU per dose is low for a Canadian winter. And folic acid runs 1000 mcg per daily dose, high next to newer formulas and worth knowing if you already take a B complex. Naka labels it for therapeutic adult use only.

L-cysteine is the sulphur amino acid that limits glutathione production. Papain is a fruit enzyme and betaine hydrochloride a digestive acid, both there to help the contents break down. Lecithin emulsifies; PABA rounds out the B group. None is dosed like a standalone supplement — but none is filler.
