Trophic Iron (Chelazome) Details

This formula increases the absorption rate over other forms of iron, without the risk of constipation. Iron is essential in the formation of red blood cells and their ability to bind oxygen. Iron is found primarily in the blood as part of the hemoglobin molecule or stored in the liver. Iron deficiency is an issue of global concern.

Pregnant and premenstrual women, growing children and athletes have the greatest demand for iron. Iron deficiency symptoms include general weakness, fatigue and shortness of breath, anemia, pale skin, lack of appetite, fluid retention and skin sores. Trophic Iron Amino Acid Chelate caplets are better absorbed (60% to 70%), more bioavailable and better tolerated than conventional iron salts.

    Seems to be helping

    I was using Floradix Iiquid iron for 3 months and was not absorbing enough so I switched to the Trophic brand because of the good reviews. I took it for two days and it gave me terrible heart burn. I was advised to take it with 1 TB of apple cider vinegar in as iron is notoriously hard to digest and I may not have enough stomach acid to metabolize it. Believe it or not, it did the trick....so I am hoping I can continue taking this brand and that it will increase my iron and stabilize my anemia. I've been '

    Effective and safe

    My 12-year old daughter takes these once a day to boost her low iron. I can see that she has more colour in her cheeks as she used to, and doesn't seem as tired. She used to come home from school exhausted and lie on her bed for hours, which she does not do anymore. I am happy with these pills and will continue to purchase them for my daughter. On the downside... they taste like iron... blood.
