      St. Francis Canadian Bitters Details

Gentian is traditionally used in Herbal Medicine: to help relieve digestive disturbances/dyspepsia; as a digestive tonic and bitter to help stimulate appetite and aid digestion (stomachic); to help prevent nausea (anti-emetic). Used in Herbal Medicine to help increase bile flow (cholagogue).

Canadian Bitters is probably the most iconic and best known of all our formulas. Herbal bitters are an extremely valuable aid in maintaining good health, so much so that the appropriate rule of thumb may not so much be “you are what you eat”—as important this is—but rather, “you are what you digest”. By enhancing secretions of the liver, pancreas, stomach, and small intestine, bitters revitalize a whole range of digestive functions and provide rich enzyme catalysts, which improve nutrient absorption. If you have trouble with flatulent dyspepsia—gas, burping, bloating and indigestion—you’ll derive tremendous benefit from Canadian Bitters®.

A great and vital formula, Canadian Bitters® also helps with cholesterol build-up, hyperlipidaemia, constipation, digestive distress, and sluggish elimination, which is often the result of reduced secretions by the digestive organs and small intestine. As an added bonus, it protects the liver from toxins.

Adults: Take 1-1.5 ml (30-45 drops) of St. Francis Canadian Bitters 3 times daily, in a little water, on an empty stomach. Take 15-60 minutes before meals.

        Excellent product

My Naturopath recommended this particular form of bitters because she said the ingredients will not be irritating like other bitter products. I find it helpful in aiding digestion and improving gallbladder health.

        The perfect solution for indigestion

It does what it says! It helped me with digestion and I've gone days without even taking it. I believe if you take it long enough, it will automatically revitalize natural secretions. It could potentially reveal the source of your heartburn, which is oftentimes misdiagnosed. Your stomach needs acid for digestion to take place.

        Great

I put it in my water all day long. It seems to help with digestion and makes me drink more water. I actually like the bitter taste.
