NAD is a coenzyme found in every cell that helps turn the food you eat into usable energy. Levels tend to drift down as we get older, which is why a lot of Canadians look to NAD supplements to help support steady energy and healthy aging. Rather than NAD itself, most of these supplements give your body the building blocks it uses to make it — NMN and NR (the form in Niagen), both types of vitamin B3 — plus NADH, the ready-to-use form. You’ll find all three here in capsules and powders, on their own or paired with ingredients like resveratrol, quercetin, or CoQ10. Shipped across Canada from our Ontario warehouse.

    NAD and everyday energy

NAD (nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide) sits in every cell and plays a central role in turning food into the energy your body runs on. Our natural levels tend to fall as we age, which is why NAD supplements have become a popular way to help support steady energy and cellular health — handy whether you’re keeping up with a busy workweek or with the grandkids.

    Where NAD supplements fit in

The body makes its own NAD from precursors — building blocks it gets in small amounts from foods containing niacin (a form of vitamin B3). It can be hard to get enough from diet alone to noticeably top up NAD as you age, and that’s the gap these supplements aim to fill. Most of them supply a precursor like NR or NMN that your body converts into active NAD, or NADH, the ready-to-use form.

NMN vs NR vs NADH — how to choose

    • NR (nicotinamide riboside) — a form of vitamin B3 the body converts to NAD. It’s the form in Niagen (Tru Niagen), the most studied branded version.
    • NMN (nicotinamide mononucleotide) — a precursor one step closer to NAD; the most widely stocked option here, in doses from around 150 mg up to 600 mg.
    • NADH — the ready-to-use (“active”) form, often chosen for everyday energy and mental clarity.
    • Capsules or powder — capsules are simple and pre-dosed; powders let you adjust the amount and mix it into a drink.

    A quick note on safety

NAD precursors are generally well tolerated. If you take medication or high-dose niacin, it’s worth checking with your pharmacist or healthcare provider before adding one, just to be sure it fits with what you’re already taking.
