Valentine’s Day is almost here which means it’s time for some sweet treats! Here is a sweet treat for your Valentine’s Day that is shockingly healthy! When you think of Strawberry Milkshakes it’s hard not to think of romantic scenes in TV and Movies (Grease or Riverdale anyone?). How perfect would it be to have a Strawberry Shake to start your Valentine’s Day!?
You really can’t go wrong with a classic strawberry smoothie that tastes like a milkshake! This has all the creaminess and sweetness as a milkshake but is actually healthy and is totally customizable!
Best Strawberries and Cream Smoothie Recipe
If you are using fresh strawberries make sure they are very ripe (otherwise it will taste more bitter) and you may want to add a few ice cubes if you like your smoothies cold! My personal favorite is frozen strawberries- they are easy, and are always really sweet!
1-1.5 cups of frozen strawberries
1 cup of your milk of choice (unsweetened coconut milk makes it sweet and creamy)
½ scoop of your protein powder of choice (unflavoured or vanilla protein powder are recommended)
Add all your ingredients into the blender and blend until smooth! If you want more of an ice cream consistency, use less liquid and or more strawberries.
For an extra treat add some whipped cream (or coconut cream) to the top with some crushed nuts, chocolate chips or sprinkles! For an added bonus you can finish your Valentine’s Day Strawberry Shake off with a literal cherry on top!
