Milk Thistle with ALA also helps to ease digestive issues, promote healthy glucose metabolism, and provide antioxidants to defend against free radical damage at the cellular level. We use the finest ingredients and make sure that the extracts are potent for effective therapeutic use.

Milk thistle (Silybum marianum)

Milk thistle (Silybum marianum) is a flowering herb native to Mediterranean countries and is closely related to the ragweed and daisy family of plants. Milk thistle has been used for its medicinal value for over 2000 years. Historically, the most common uses were for liver support and gallbladder issues. Milk thistle is a hepatoprotectant, which means that it protects the liver. Studies have shown that the group of flavonoids called silymarin (silibinin, silidianin, and silicristin) that occur in milk thistle, actually protect the liver from toxins.

Alpha lipoic acid (ALA)

Alpha lipoic acid (ALA) is a compound and antioxidant that occurs naturally in yeast, broccoli, potatoes, spinach and many other sources. It’s also manufactured by the human body and is present in all of our cells. ALA helps to defend against some types of cell damage and revitalizes vitamin levels. A wonderful protector of the brain and nerves, ALA also helps to support normal blood glucose levels.
