Here is some brief information on a few of the herbs in the tea:
Uva-ursi
Uva-ursi (Arctostaphylos uva-ursi), also known as bear’s grape, is used in traditional herbal medicine for treatment of early symptoms of mild urinary tract infections such as burning sensation during urination and/or frequent urination. The leaf is the medicinal part of the plant used in this formulation.
Stinging Nettle
Stinging Nettle (Urtica dioica) is a flowering plant traditionally used in herbal medicine as a diuretic. Austria has a long history of using stinging nettle to support the kidneys, urinary tract and cardiovascular system. Stinging nettle has more than fifty naturally occurring chemicals present and the leaves are high in flavonol glycosides such as quercetin, which is a great antioxidant.
(Cynodon dactylon)
Bermuda Grass (Cynodon dactylon) is a perennial grass from the family Poaceae. This grass is abundant in India and Africa, but also grows in many tropical countries. Bermuda grass has many medicinal properties and benefits, such as antimicrobial and antiviral properties. It is also a great detoxifier and can maintain alkalinity of your blood.
The Kidney Cleanse & Function Tea comes as a loose tea, so you can make an entire pot at one time if you prefer and it is a 2-4 week supply for a very reasonable price. If you want to support and maintain sound kidney health, this tea is exactly what you’ve been looking for.
Drink 1 cup of tea, twice daily. After desired results have been attained, drink 1 cup of Bell Kidney Cleanse & Function Tea daily for maintenance.
Preparation: Measure, into a pot, enough water for the number of large cups (8oz/250ml) you want to make and add 2 heaping teaspoons per cup. Add 25% more water to compensate for evaporation. Make enough for a few days if you like. When you scoop out the tea, scoop deep down into the bag to make sure the tea is kept well mixed. Example: If you want to prepare 4 cups of tea, measure 5 cups of water and 8 heaping teaspoons of tea. Heat on a stove until boiling, then turn stove off or set to low and allow to simmer for 10 minutes. Stir and allow the tea to cool, then strain into a pitcher. For best results let it soak for a few hours or overnight before straining. Store the pitcher in the refrigerator and drink the tea cold or re-heated. You can put some in a thermos to take along with you to work. The tea has a pleasing aroma. The tea tastes great without sugar or sweeteners. If you prefer a sweeter tasting tea, use a little bit of honey or stevia. Do not prepare the tea by pouring hot water over it, as this will not give you the full benefit.
