1. How does a virtual naturopathic session differ from an in person one?

The patient and the ND connect on video or phone. This makes it very convenient for those of you who don’t live close by or just prefer being at home while getting all your health-related questions answered! It’s all about comfort, convenience and ultimate flexibility for the patient. Both in-person and virtual visits involve a comprehensive assessment of your medical history, addressing your chief concerns and providing you with an individualized treatment plan. Physical exams are not completed during virtual calls. If the ND feels that you are in need of one, she will refer to your GP.

2. I am looking for a Naturopathic Doctor, but I am unsure if this is right for me?

Naturopathic Medicine is a distinct and primary healthcare system that incorporates both scientific knowledge and natural forms of healing. It is centered on the context of prevention and overall wellness. Naturopathy takes a comprehensive look at all aspects of your being, including mental, physical and emotional aspects and your environment. Naturopathic Doctors address the root cause of the illness and support your body’s ability to heal. If you are still unsure if Naturopathic Medicine is right for you, book a FREE 15 min meet and greet session to learn more and get all your questions answered!

3. The pricing you are offering seems too good to be true? How do I know I am getting the best naturopathic advice and treatment?

At Vitamart.ca we strive to provide the best care for all customers and potential patients. All our doctors either have worked or currently work at clinics that bill as much as twice the price for the same treatment you receive through Vitamart.ca Services.

While Vitamart.ca provides the same level of naturopathic service and expertise, we don’t need to inflate the prices offered to cover the overhead a physical clinic incurs ie clinic support staff or expensive monthly rent. We are then able to pass on all the savings to you. Not only that but we wish to provide everyone with an equal chance of optimizing their health and reaching their goals through receiving Naturopathic care.

4. I live in Alberta, am I able to use your Naturopathic services?

No, unfortunately, our Naturopathic Doctor is currently only licensed as a Naturopathic Doctor in Ontario. Therefore, she is unable to treat patients living outside of Ontario.

5. How do you select your naturopathic doctors? Why should I consider a Vitamart.ca naturopathic Doctor vs another one?

9. What is in the 60 min initial visit?

A 60 minute initial appointment is intended for new patients and includes a comprehensive look at your medical history, chief concerns, lifestyle and dietary habits, suggestions for lab work and/or reviewing current lab work. It also includes time to answer any questions you may have regarding your health and well-being. Since these are virtual visits no physical exams will be performed. If the ND feels this is something you need, she will refer to your GP. You will then receive a personalized treatment plan based on all the information that was gathered in this first visit. This thorough treatment plan may include, dietary/lifestyle changes and a supplement protocol.

10. What is in the 30 min follow-up session?

11. Can I use my insurance to pay for Naturopathic services?

Naturopathic services are covered by most extended healthcare insurance plans. After your visit an invoice will be emailed to you. The invoice will include your name, the Naturopathic Doctors name and license number, date of the service and the type of service that was completed. It is then your responsibility to submit the invoice for reimbursement from your insurance company. At this point in time, vitamart.ca does not offer direct billing.

12. How do I join my video appointment session?

Your video conference link will be e-mailed to you 24 hours prior to your appointment.

13. How to join my phone appointment session?
