Herbal Select Borage Oil Product Description:
Borage oil is a source of fatty acids which must be consumed in the diet for the maintenance of good health. The main essential fatty acids in borage oil are omega-6 fatty acids, such as linoleic acid. Clinical research has shown that borage oil effectively modulates skin condition in women with nicotinate induced skin irritation. Skin hydration, water loss, reddening, blood flow, roughness and skin scaling are all improved by dietary borage oil supplements. Additionally, borage oil can improve atopic eczema in some individuals.
It has also been shown that dietary borage oil can help reduce weight regain following major weight loss in humans. Dietary borage oil has also been shown to improve stress reactivity in men, lowering heart rate and blood pressure as well as improving task performance and increasing skin temperature in response to stress.
